Peppermint tea has long been credited for balancing an upset nervous stomach. The essential oil is viewed as an antispasmodic and antimicrobotic agent; it has a cooling effect by constricting capillaries and helping with bruises and sore joints. The menthol content of peppermint essential oil is typically 85%, this is where the cooling effect comes from. Note Peppermint essential oil is effective at repelling ants, mice and other small bothersome pests… place a couple of drops of Peppermint essential oil on a cotton ball and place in areas that pests are a problem.
For external use only, not to be taken internally.
